The Role

As an Asset Grading Officer, you will play a crucial role in reviewing asset grading scores, working closely with the Head of Programme to analyze current outcomes and develop a future pathway for our homes. This involves adopting an analytical approach to identify opportunities for redevelopment and regeneration, and collaborating with the Head of Programme and Asset Grading to agree strategies for our core housing stock.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist in identifying future redevelopment opportunities by location and support Regeneration and New Business in attaining approval for initial feasibility studies.
  2. Use the asset grading model to work with local authorities in the South and West of our geography on a property-by-property basis.
  3. Work collaboratively across localities to understand challenges faced by property, customers, and lettings, and assist the Head of Programme in developing a bespoke strategy for each operating area.
  4. Assist the Head of Programme in identifying a pipeline of poor-performing schemes for the Head of Disposal to appraise.
  5. Support the Head of Programme in the annual refresh of asset grading to illustrate the effectiveness of combined strategies, including development of new homes, disposal, and improvement of existing homes.
  6. Take responsibility for flagging homes for disposal to support the Business Plan.
Requirements

You will have proven experience in a similar role in Asset Management or Property Management, with a good understanding of property lifecycle and obsolescence. You must be experienced in working effectively within cross-functional teams and possess:

  • Strong communication skills and report writing experience.
  • Analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to analyze large and small data sets to draw conclusions and identify trends.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI, and operating systems such as Keystone/ActiveH or similar housing management systems.
