Career Development Opportunity: A Apprentice Media Producer

In this role, you will develop ideas and stories, learn how to use technical equipment and software, assist your team on location or in studio, find guests and participants, research content, create content for social media, and support your team on set or in studio.

About The Apprentice Media Producer Role:

This is an excellent opportunity to begin your career in media production. You'll work closely with our BBC production teams across the UK, producing high-quality content for our audiences on radio, TV, or digital platforms.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing ideas and stories with your team
  • Learning and using technical equipment and software
  • Assisting on location or in studio
  • Finding guests and participants
  • Researching and creating content
  • Producing content for social media
  • Supporting your team on set or in studio

A Little Bit About The Placement:

You could be working on live radio programmes, editing audio, producing video for our social media content and regional TV output, as well as crafting audio for BBC Sounds. This is a unique chance to gain industry-recognised skills and experience in a fast-paced environment.

To Be Eligible For An Apprenticeship At The BBC, You Must:

  • Be aged 18 or over when the apprenticeship starts
  • Have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for a minimum of 3 years
  • Be eligible to work in the UK full time for the duration of the apprenticeship contract
  • Not currently taking part in an apprenticeship scheme supported by the BBC or another organisation
