About the Role

Pink Tile Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our client's team in a dedicated and inclusive educational setting specialising in working with young people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in the planning and implementation of lessons tailored to individual student needs.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
  • Help create a safe and engaging classroom environment.
  • Support students with special educational needs and behavioural challenges.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support.
  • Prepare learning materials and resources.
  • Supervise students during break times and school activities.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role/life experience with SEND is highly desirable.
  • A passion for working with young people and supporting their educational journey.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the school.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • A DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Backgrounds in a nursery, care, support work, volunteering, etc with transferable skills is advantageous.
