Underwriting Assistant

We are seeking an Underwriting Assistant to join our High Net Worth Underwriting Team in London. As an Underwriting Assistant, you will be responsible for underwriting new and existing business accounts on our Continental European Book while providing world-class service to our broker partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite renewal business up to your agreed authority limits and assist with lower-level appraisals.
  • Support the Underwriting team with MP24 referrals for New Business.
  • Actively seek to round out existing accounts and cross-sell other classes of business.
  • Manage underwriting queries via telephone and email.
  • Liaise with different departments to troubleshoot a wide variety of queries.
Requirements:
  • Desirable experience in HNW insurance, preferably from a Motor or Household background.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Well-organized with the ability to prioritize workload.
