As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing professional, commercial, and specialist employee relations advice and coaching to our people managers and stakeholders across the broader People team and business.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Partnership: Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to deliver business objectives and operational outcomes through effective employee relations strategies.
  2. Employee Relations Advice: Provide expert advice and guidance on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, capability, performance, appeals, early conciliation, and Employment Tribunal claims.
  3. Consultation and Communication: Manage complex and high-risk cases, including individual and collective consultation for business change projects, such as restructuring, redundancy, TUPE, and changes to terms and conditions.
  4. Project Management: Lead the delivery of employee relations-related projects, policy updates, and initiatives for continuous improvement.
  5. Training and Development: Develop and deliver training courses to improve performance and meet business requirements.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Comprehensive experience in employee relations, including the management of complex and high-risk cases.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand business objectives and operational outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends and insights to inform employee relations strategies.
