Polaris Community is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Teaching and Learning Support Coordinator.


This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the educational development of our pupils, while also gaining valuable experience in a supportive and inclusive environment.


The successful candidate will possess a strong basic education, ideally to A-level, with GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics, as well as previous experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.



Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and support one pupil or a small group of up to six pupils, focusing on academic progress and pastoral care.
  • Support the Classroom Teacher during lessons, promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extra-curricular activities and school trips.
  • Develop positive relationships with pupils, fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity.


Requirements and Qualifications
  • A strong basic education, ideally to A-level, with GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics.
  • Previous experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • A willingness to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check and support your development in acquiring new skills.
  • A salary of approximately £23,000 per annum reflects the importance of this role in supporting the educational vision of Polaris Community.
