Job Title: Head of First Line Risk

As the Head of First Line Risk, you'll play a critical role in shaping our risk governance framework and driving a culture of compliance and risk awareness across the organization.

About the Role

As a key member of our risk management team, you'll be responsible for leading the development and implementation of risk management strategies, policies, and procedures. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact our business operations, reputation, and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework that aligns with our business strategy and risk appetite.
  • Lead risk assessments, risk mitigation, and risk monitoring activities to ensure effective risk management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address emerging risks, regulatory requirements, and compliance issues.
  • Provide risk management guidance and support to business leaders and teams to ensure they understand and manage risks effectively.
  • Develop and implement risk-related policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, including the Chief Risk Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor a team of risk management professionals to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in risk management, compliance, or a related field, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective risk management strategies and policies.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex risk management concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
