Job Title: Key Stage 2 Teacher

A temporary position has become available for a Year 4/5 Mixed Class Teacher at a partner school in Burnley, starting in January. This role is expected to last until the end of the academic year with potential for a permanent position.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated teacher who can work effectively with children of varying abilities, including those with SEN. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of differentiation and be able to create an inclusive classroom environment.

About the Role:

As a Key Stage 2 Teacher, your primary responsibility will be to plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the needs of all pupils, including those with SEN.

  1. Plan and deliver lessons that promote inclusivity and respect.
  2. Create a positive and supportive classroom environment.
  3. Collaborate with the SENCo and other staff to develop effective learning strategies and interventions.
  4. Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and report regularly to parents and senior leadership.
  5. Ensure each child receives the necessary support to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
  1. Proven experience teaching Year 4/5 pupils, preferably with SEN experience.
  2. A deep understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and strategies to support children with additional needs.
  3. The ability to adapt teaching methods and resources to meet diverse learner needs.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working effectively with pupils, parents, and staff.
  5. A passion for inclusive education and commitment to ensuring every child succeeds.

This position offers a salary within the MPS/UPS range (£30,480 - £42,780) based on experience, making it an attractive opportunity for teachers looking to take their career to the next level.
