Nuclear Waste Specialist Lead

AWE Plc is currently recruiting for a Nuclear Waste Specialist Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the review, sentencing, recording, and consignment of radioactive solid and non-aqueous waste. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience working in hazardous waste operations and using databases to interpret and manipulate information.
Key responsibilities include liaising with internal and external stakeholders, coordinating resources and governance bodies, and identifying waste suitability for external consignment. You will also support the RA Waste Operations Manager in optimizing waste management services in line with regulatory and business requirements.
We offer a competitive salary of £38,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience.
