About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join NHS Professionals Limited as a Speech and Language Therapist, where you will have the chance to make a lasting impact on individuals of all ages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs to improve speech, language, and communication skills.
  • Implement techniques to enhance articulation, fluency, voice quality, and language comprehension and expression.
  • Work with patients experiencing dysphagia to improve their ability to safely swallow food and liquids.
Person Specification
  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent.
  • Licence to Practice.
  • Registered with HCPC.
  • Dysphagia postgraduate training and at least 2 years post-grad experience of working with dysphagia.
  • Competent and confident in preparing and using electronic information.
  • Up-to-date IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word.
  • A knowledge and/or experience of using RIO patient-held record system would be beneficial.
  • A car for community work.
