Job Overview

This Band 6 Critical Care Outreach Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse post involves working cross-site at both Basingstoke and Winchester hospitals to provide an integrated hospital-wide approach to critical care. You will support ward-based nursing and medical staff in recognizing and treating deteriorating patients, helping to prevent avoidable critical care admissions and cardiac arrests.

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals in providing critical care services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with ward-based nursing and medical staff.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Requirements
  • Registered nurse (degree level) with minimum 2 years' experience.
  • Relevant critical care course and recognized mentorship course.
  • Evidence of recent and significant post-registration development within critical care.
  • Deteriorating patient training and tracheostomy training.
