Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team at the Stephen Wiltshire Centre. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children with disabilities and complex needs. You will work closely with our team to deliver Short Breaks, after-school sessions, weekend Short Breaks, and Holiday Provision for children and young people aged 8-18 with a range of needs.

Our ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the needs of children with disabilities and complex needs, and be able to provide a safe and supportive environment for them to thrive. You will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the children's needs are met, both within the Centre and in the community. You will also be required to work within the standards set by OFSTED and the CQC in your role to support engagement in quality short breaks for our children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care and support to children with disabilities and complex needs
  • Deliver Short Breaks, after-school sessions, weekend Short Breaks, and Holiday Provision for children and young people aged 8-18 with a range of needs
  • Work closely with our team to ensure that all aspects of the children's needs are met, both within the Centre and in the community
  • Ensure that all activities are safe and accessible for children with disabilities and complex needs
  • Work within the standards set by OFSTED and the CQC in your role to support engagement in quality short breaks for our children
Requirements:

  • Ability to provide a safe and supportive environment for children to thrive
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
