Job Title: Occupational Therapy Team Leader

About The Role

This senior occupational therapy position requires experience in managing a team of junior staff members, developing close working relationships with clinical colleagues, and contributing to business growth by promoting therapy services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Treatment Planning: Develops and implements individualized treatment plans for occupational therapy services, ensuring effective communication and delivery of treatments and interventions.
  2. Patient Assessment and Care: Responds promptly to referrals, conducts patient assessments, and prioritizes patient needs to deliver relevant interventions on an individual or group basis, while maintaining accurate records of patient rehabilitation/progress.
  3. Team Leadership: Manages and leads junior staff members effectively, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient service delivery.
  4. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Maintains close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues within the multidisciplinary team, adhering to Priory policies, procedures, and statutory regulations.
  5. Business Growth: Contributes to business growth by promoting therapy services aligned with local units' business plans, emphasizing good value for money and supporting the overall site aims.
  6. Communication: Establishes effective communication links with patients, relatives, carers, and purchasers throughout the patient's rehabilitation process.
  7. Professional Development: Leverages best practice by implementing new services at their site, sharing expertise with other sites in the area.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, applicants must possess a BSc Hons or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and be accredited by the HCPC.

A minimum of one year's experience in a related clinical or therapeutic environment is required. Experience managing a caseload with complex needs is highly desirable.
