Drainage Systems Installation and Maintenance

This critical role in our construction team focuses on the installation, repair, and maintenance of drainage systems for a large project. We require a highly skilled individual to join our team.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Installation and Maintenance: Install, repair, and maintain stormwater and wastewater drainage systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
  2. Project Planning: Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and specifications to guarantee accurate project execution.
  3. Trench Excavation: Excavate and prepare trenches using manual and mechanical methods.
  4. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with local council regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
  5. System Inspection: Inspect and test drainage systems to identify and resolve leaks, blockages, or other issues.
  6. Maintenance and Operation: Operate and maintain relevant tools and machinery, including excavators, compactors, and laser levels.
  7. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members, contractors, and site managers to meet project deadlines.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in drain laying or a related field.
  2. Knowledge: Basic knowledge of drainage systems, materials, and installation techniques.
  3. Fitness: Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
  4. Licenses: Full class 1 & 2 would be preferred but not essential.

The successful candidate will receive a salary of $72,000 per annum based on experience, opportunities for professional development, training, and apprenticeship.
