Drainage Construction Specialist Position

Tangram is seeking a skilled drainage construction specialist to join our team for a significant project in Christchurch. The ideal candidate will have experience in drain laying and be knowledgeable about drainage systems.

Main Tasks:
  1. Drainage System Installation: Install, inspect, and maintain stormwater and wastewater drainage systems.
  2. Project Coordination: Coordinate projects according to specifications and blueprints, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  3. Trench Preparation: Prepare trenches for pipe installations using manual and mechanical excavation methods.
  4. Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to local regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
  5. Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain relevant tools and machinery, including excavators, compactors, and laser levels.
  6. Teamwork: Collaborate with team members, contractors, and site managers to meet project deadlines.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: 1-2 years of experience in drain laying or a related field.
  2. Knowledge: Familiarity with drainage systems, materials, and installation techniques.
  3. Fitness: Ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
  4. Licenses: Preference for full class 1 & 2 licenses but not essential.

The chosen candidate will receive a salary of $78,000 per annum based on experience and qualifications, along with opportunities for professional growth and development.
