The Countess of Brecknock Hospice Trust is a leading provider of palliative and end-of-life care to adults suffering from life-limiting illnesses in a designated catchment area. Our mission is to deliver exceptional care and support to individuals and their families, while also raising vital funds to sustain our services.
Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Fundraising Manager to join our team. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a programme of ambitious events and community fundraising activities to grow income and achieve agreed fundraising targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a programme of events to maximise income, ensuring that fundraising events and activities are planned with due care and attention to legal requirements, health and safety, risk assessment, and best practice.
- Review, research, and develop our events and community fundraising to create new opportunities to grow and secure additional income from new and current supporters.
- Promote and support community fundraisers' involvement in fundraising, third-party events, and organisation/group activities to maximise income, including Gift Aid and corporate match-funding.
- Develop a third-party challenge event programme and enable participants to maximise fundraising from such events.
- Research and agree a programme of local third-party events that can be attended by staff or volunteers to maximise fundraising and raise awareness.
- Develop and support a network of Community Champions and fundraising groups in our catchment area.
- Proven record of developing and delivering successful and engaging events and community fundraising that generated significant income within an agreed budget and target.
- Solid knowledge of the fundraising environment, legal requirements, and best practice.
- Sound financial accounting and reporting skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
