We are seeking a highly skilled Paediatric Psychological Assistant to join our team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. As a key member of our Paediatric department, you will work under the supervision of a qualified Practitioner Psychologist to deliver high-quality psychological services to children and families.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing psychological assessments and interventions for children and families, including protocol-based assessments and risk management plans.
  • Assisting with clinical-related administration, audits, and research projects, as required.
  • Working with other staff to assess clients in community and hospital settings, and reviewing their care in preparation for multi-disciplinary reviews.

To be successful in this role, you will need a degree in Psychology and entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychology Society (Graduation Basis for Chartered Status). Experience of working as an assistant psychologist or similar work may be considered. A basic understanding of psychology applied to healthcare is essential.
