Experienced SEMH Specialist Teacher Wanted

Job Title: SEMH Specialist Teacher
Job Type: Full-time, 15 hours per week
Location: Okehampton
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced SEMH Specialist Teacher to provide 1:1 educational support to a student in need. The ideal candidate will have a background in teaching or private tutoring, with experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Responsibilities:
- Deliver core subject support (English, Maths & Science) to a Year 10 student
- Work 1:1 with the student, providing tailored support and guidance
- Develop and implement individualized education plans to meet the student's needs
- Collaborate with the student's school and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive support system
- Provide regular progress updates and reports to the student's school and parents
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with students with SEND, particularly SEMH and challenging behavior
- Ability to teach at least one of the core subjects
- Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service
- Up-to-date Safeguarding & Prevent Training
