About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Apprenticeship & Graduate Delivery Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the growth of apprenticeship and graduate programmes that align with our People and Workforce strategies.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing systems, processes, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the recruitment, delivery, and support of apprentices to ensure a seamless experience for our services and departments.
  • Defining processes and governance that are compliant while driving efficiency and flexibility in learning methods.
  • Managing the apprenticeship levy governance board and presenting to senior internal customers and leading steering committees.
  • Attending relevant business service working groups and steering committees to influence and advise on all apprenticeship topics.
  • Overseeing the design and implementation of procedures and processes that ensure high-quality support services for all learners.
  • Leading the development of reporting to support, engage, and inform internal customers and track attendance, engagement, and success.
  • Driving and managing the next phase of expansion in Bupa apprenticeships aligned to business unit workforce and people plans.
  • Managing end-to-end graduate programmes and providing expertise for continuous improvement.
  • Leading procurement processes to identify and onboard new training providers.
  • Overseeing the performance of external providers in delivering education components of the apprenticeship programme and responding quickly to any performance issues identified by service lines.
  • Responsible as a delegated budget holder, including raising requisitions and authorising invoices in relation to apprenticeships.
  • Maintaining accurate recording of all income and expenditure.
  • Partnering with Learning Leads and HR Business Partners to redesign roles to make them suitable for apprenticeships.
  • Applying expert project and programme management skills to oversee the delivery of simultaneous, multiple apprenticeship programmes across many functions/business units.
  • Bupa contact and champion for external requests for information/interaction with trailblazer and employer groups.
  • Maintaining subject matter expertise and a view of best practice to keep up to date with developments in the HE sector to inform planning, policy, and service development.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of leading a centre of excellence in a matrix organisation.
  • Knowledge of higher education funding policy and options.
  • Negotiating large provider contracts.
  • Previous senior exposure in a training or learning and development role.
  • Experience of writing training materials and delivering training.
  • Experience of building programmes of work.
  • Knowledge of the end-to-end learning cycle.
  • Experience of developing engaging internal communications.
  • Strong stakeholder management.
Desirable

A desireable candidate will have:

  • Experience of further education assessment policies and procedures.
