We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Graduate Business Development Executive to join our RAL Space business development team at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory on the Harwell Campus.
Key Responsibilities- Support the business development vision, objectives, and plan across the team.
- Respond to enquiries from a wide range of institutional and commercial sources.
- Manage internal and external key relationships.
- Develop new opportunities and work with colleagues to close deals and funding opportunities.
- Promote our capabilities through various channels; online, through engaging talks and tours, in productive meetings, through exhibitions, and at major UK and international events.
- Carry out dedicated business development projects; examples - review and report on future market opportunities, organise and lead international delegations.
- Be the relationship lead with the communications and engagement team.
- Achieved, or be on course to achieve, a minimum 2:1 degree, in a relevant field of study.
- Have the right to live and work in the UK at time of starting employment.
- Technical background in science or engineering.
- Business development aptitude, demonstrating excellent customer-facing, communication, networking, and influencing skills.
- Able to form good working relationships from all teams and levels.
- Can grasp new topics and acquire new skills quickly.
- Be incredibly coachable and willing to learn.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Have any kind of office working experience.
- Knowledge of the space industry.
