About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated individual to join our team as an Acting Deputy Manager at our Residential Service, The Elms. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and support to vulnerable adults, ensuring their dignity, independence, and well-being are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Manager in implementing policies, procedures, and business objectives
  • Ensure all records are maintained, monitored, and evaluated to ensure effectiveness
  • Liaise with the Manager across operational activities and assume responsibility for managing the Home during their absence
  • Provide quality care for vulnerable adults within a residential setting, ensuring the highest standards are met
  • Monitor standards of care delivered by qualified and unqualified care staff
  • Contribute to team collaborative working, responding positively to colleagues and actioning all reasonable work instructions promptly
  • Assist with the management and motivation of staff, including training, development, supervision, appraisals, and mentoring
  • Facilitate activities that promote person-centred care, dignity, independence, and well-being

Requirements

  • QCF level 3 in health and social care or equivalent
  • Experience of the care sector, regulatory framework, service delivery, and essential standards
  • Passionate individual with experience of working with individuals who have learning disabilities and mental health needs
  • Computer literate, strong relationship building skills, and customer service skills
  • Desire and passion to support individuals to achieve their aspirations and personal goals
  • Experience of developing strong relationships with service users, family members, health professionals, local authorities, and other stakeholders
