Job Summary

The Principal Medical Limited is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team as a GP Practice Pharmacist with Independent Prescribing Qualification. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced pharmacist to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing medication review and optimization services to patients, including face-to-face clinics and telephone consultations.
  • Working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure accurate and timely medication reconciliation.
  • Developing and implementing medicines management systems to improve patient outcomes.
  • Liaising with community and hospital pharmacies to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Prescribing medications as necessary, within their clinical competency.
  • Participating in the education and training of healthcare professionals, including GP trainees and medical students.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Mandatory registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Specialist knowledge acquired through postgraduate diploma level or equivalent training/experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a primary care setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and negotiating skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, manage, monitor, advise, and review general medicine optimization issues in core areas for long-term conditions.
