Job Summary

Vacancy for a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant.

Salary: Grade 4, Point 3-5 (£15,822 - £16,415).

Hours of work: 30 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at The Ferrers School. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the SENDCO to enable access to learning for students and aid the Class Teacher in the management of students and the classroom.

  • Supervise activities for small groups or 1:1, enabling all children to reach their potential.
  • Encourage and promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students.
  • Establish and maintain supportive relationships.
  • Join a dedicated and enthusiastic team within a supportive Multi-Academy Trust.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Holds a good educational background with GCSE or equivalent in English Language.
  • Understands how children learn.
  • Is skilled at developing children's self-esteem and motivation so that they become resilient, independent learners.
  • Has excellent communication skills and is able to develop and sustain positive relationships with pupils.
