Aurex Group is seeking an experienced Oil Fundamental Analyst/Crude Market Analyst for their London team. This position will work closely with the global crude trading team with direct reporting into the London-based Crude Trading Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of the crude markets to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
  • Responsible for building and maintaining fundamental analytical models (S/D's)
  • Monitor and interpret market data to inform trading decisions and provide insights to Trading team, as well as assist in the development of trading strategies and assess the potential impact of market events
  • Stay up-to-date on industry news, regulations, and geopolitical developments that may impact the oil market
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the oil industry to gather insights and build industry expertise
  • Communicate complex market information in a clear and concise manner
  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of market analysis

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Energy Analytics or Fundamental research within a commodity trading house, energy trading company, oil major, investment bank, or similar commodity trading environment
  • University degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a keen interest in the energy & commodities market
  • Knowledge of market fundamentals and trading concepts
  • Proficiency in data analysis and modeling
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Critical thinker, problem solver
