Job Title: Band 7 Vulnerable Children and Families Service Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Transformation Unit as a service manager responsible for vulnerable children and families. The role will involve leading a team of safeguarding professionals and providing expert advice and support to teams across Birmingham and Solihull.

The post holder will work closely with other health colleagues, the police, and social workers to develop skills and competence as a Children's Safeguarding Practitioner. They will participate in the MASH risk assessment and contribute to case management of children at risk of harm.

The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately £58,000-£64,000, based on location and experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of managing complex caseloads involving child protection issues, including mental health or acute provider hospital experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of safeguarding professionals and providing expert advice and support.
  • Participating in the MASH risk assessment and contributing to case management of children at risk of harm.
  • Reviewing and updating trust policies relating to own area.

Qualifications required include current NMC registration, evidence of recent post-basic training, and ongoing personal development. A teaching qualification or equivalent is also essential.
