About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Care Assistant in a residential care setting. As a Care Assistant, you will provide personal care and support to service users, adopting a person-centred approach to deliver a high standard of flexible and responsive care.

The ideal candidate will be able to work both on an individual basis and as a member of a team, with a strong commitment to providing a high-quality service. Previous experience in social care is desirable, but not essential. Ideally, you should hold an SVQ 2 in Social Care or be willing to achieve this within 5 years of appointment.

This is a permanent full-time post of 37 hours, working a three-week rota consisting of day, back, and night shifts, with evening and weekend enhancements. If you are a caring, compassionate, and reliable person who is interested in supporting people in your community, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to service users in a residential care setting
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver a high-quality service
  • Adopt a person-centred approach to care, prioritising the needs and preferences of service users
  • Develop and maintain relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders

Requirements:

  • SVQ 2 in Social Care or willingness to achieve within 5 years
  • Previous experience in social care (desirable)
  • Ability to work a three-week rota, including day, back, and night shifts
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
