About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Maternity Care Assistant to join our Community Midwifery Team in Caithness. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality, family-centred care to birthing people and their families, working closely with registered midwives to deliver excellence in clinical and caring duties.

The role involves supporting antenatal care within the clinical environment, providing outstanding postnatal care both within the unit and at home, and promoting equality of care to all. You will be expected to be vigilant for safeguarding concerns and escalate any issues as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support antenatal care within the clinical environment
  • Provide postnatal care within the unit and at home
  • Promote equality of care to all
  • Escalate safeguarding concerns as necessary

What We Offer

A rare opportunity to work in a stunning location, with a full-time, fully-funded 1-year course in Maternity Care Assistant provided by the University of the West of Scotland. You will also be supported to develop a variety of clinical skills and work as a member of a highly motivated and friendly team.

Requirements
