We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Part-time Cleaner to join our team at Leek High School.

Job Summary

This is a fixed-term contract for 13.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 3pm – 6pm, plus Inset Days and additional 20 days clean down during school closure periods.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the school, including sweeping, hoovering, general cleaning and sanitising in all areas within the school, emptying bins, and sanitising touch points.

A competitive salary of £9.50 per hour is offered, reflecting the full-time equivalent salary of £18,333 per annum. The location is Leek High School, with occasional requirements to cover duties at other schools across the Trust.

About the Role

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for part-time work with a stable employer. The successful candidate will be provided with the required training and PPE and are expected to comply with COSHH and H&S practices at all times.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the school
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste
  • Sanitising touch points and high-touch areas
  • Cleaning windows safely
  • Tackling any spillages or messes as required
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have excellent communication skills, a flexible attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. You will be working closely with the Cleaning Supervisor and will be expected to report any issues or concerns promptly.
