About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate professional to join our senior leadership team as Assistant Headteacher (Pastoral) to cover a period of maternity leave at Westwood College.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve attendance and reduce absence, while also providing guidance and support to teachers and other staff members.

As a member of our senior leadership team, you will work closely with colleagues to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote student wellbeing and academic success.

You will have a proven track record in managing safeguarding procedures and improving attendance, and will be proactive in identifying and addressing barriers to learning.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in pastoral leadership or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A commitment to maintaining high standards and promoting student wellbeing
