Job Title: Emergency Planning Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Planning Officer to join our team in the Emergency Planning department. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing emergency plans, collaborating with external organizations, and providing support to the Senior Emergency Planning Officer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with external organizations, including emergency services and voluntary sector groups, to develop and implement emergency plans.
  • Contribute to the development of new capabilities that increase our preparedness for emergencies.
  • Provide support to the Senior Emergency Planning Officer in the development and implementation of emergency plans.
Requirements:
  • Confidence working in a project delivery environment with rapidly changing priorities.
  • An understanding of the aims and objectives of emergency planning and business continuity.
  • Familiarity with the Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Principles (JESIP) and Civil Contingencies Act (2004).
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
