Job Title: Emergency Planning Officer
Location: London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and London Borough of Wandsworth
This role is part of the Emergency Planning team, responsible for preparing for and responding to emergencies in a diverse range of areas, from the centre of London to its edges. The successful candidate will have a varied and interesting workload, with plenty of new challenges and projects to get involved in.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with external organisations, including emergency services and voluntary sector, to develop new capabilities that increase preparedness.
- Help to develop and implement emergency plans, ensuring effective response to emergencies.
- Work closely with the Senior Emergency Planning Officer to ensure effective project delivery and rapidly changing priorities.
- Contribute to the development of business continuity plans, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
Requirements:
- Confidence working in a project delivery environment with rapidly changing priorities.
- Understanding of the aims and objectives of emergency planning and business continuity.
- Familiarity with the Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Principles (JESIP) and Civil Contingencies Act.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
