Bedfordshire, United Kingdom Leicestershire County Council Full time
About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our team in the fieldwork service. As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing intervention and support to children and their families where they are receiving help through a Child in Need, Child Protection or Child in Care plan.

Your focus will be on enabling families to navigate through challenges and supporting children to grow up in a nurturing environment where their needs are met. You will have the opportunity to build relationships with children and families, taking a strengths-based approach to achieve positive outcomes for children.

What We Offer

We are committed to a culture that is both supportive and rewarding, where every day brings new and interesting challenges. You will have the chance to work with a diverse group of colleagues, children, and families, each with their unique stories and needs.

We offer a range of benefits, including a supportive culture, development opportunities, annual leave, and a generous pension scheme. We are committed to supporting and nurturing you so that you can be the best version of yourself.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a professional Social Work qualification, registered with Social Work England, and direct experience working with children in a childcare setting. You will also need to possess excellent communication skills to support internal and multi-agency working relationships.

An enhanced DBS check is required for this role. We welcome applications from all cultures, ethnicities, and beliefs, and we particularly want to hear from candidates from underrepresented groups.

How to Apply

If you are passionate about making a difference to the lives of children and families, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. Please submit your application, including your CV and a cover letter, to our online portal.
