We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Sheffield Health & Social Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Mental Health Specialist, you will play a key role in providing specialist clinical assessments and interventions to adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

The ideal candidate will have substantial post-qualification experience in mental health conditions, particularly ADHD, and possess a recorded prescribing qualification as a Registered Mental Health Nurse. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for this role, which involves working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective care plans and treatments for complex clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct specialist clinical assessments and interventions for adults with ADHD.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans and treatments.
  • Provide education and training to staff, students, and other healthcare professionals on ADHD management.
  • Contribute to the development of public health and health promotion activities in accordance with national and local priorities.
  • Promote evidence-based practice and stay up-to-date with best practices in ADHD assessment and treatment.

Training and qualifications:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with live NMC Registration and recorded prescribing qualification.
  • Independent Non-Medical Prescriber with clear demonstrable knowledge and skills and extensive previous experience relating to prescribing.
  • Training in assessment and treatment of ADHD.
