About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at the Kent Autistic Trust. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with autism and learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered care and support to individuals with autism and learning disabilities
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care and hygiene
  • Support individuals with complex needs, including physical and learning disabilities
  • Drive a mobility car or service vehicle (manual license required)
  • Administer medication and handle money for shopping and other activities
  • Uphold the privacy, confidentiality, and dignity of individuals
Requirements
  • Ability to think on your feet and problem-solve
  • Understanding of individual abilities and support needs
  • Promoting independence and choice
  • Promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion
  • Form good working relationships with other members of staff
  • Commitment to continuous personal development and learning

About the Trust

The Kent Autistic Trust provides a wide range of services designed to meet the diverse needs of individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and related difficulties. We provide residential homes, supported living accommodation, day resource services, respite, and outreach services.
