Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Executive to join our Sales Team at Newbury Racecourse. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Representing Newbury Racecourse racing business to potential and existing clients
  • Converting incoming enquiries for raceday hospitality boxes & restaurants
  • Managing existing accounts and growing their potential
  • Generating new leads to build and enhance the existing customer portfolio
  • Preparing detailed and accurate proposals
  • Producing contract documents and invoices in a timely manner
  • Ensuring the booking system is updated in real time to allow for accurate sales forecasting
  • Delivering an exceptional customer experience on racedays
  • Coordinating and delivering box and dining products by forming a close working relationship with the catering team
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a sales environment, preferably with a mix of new business and proactive account management
  • Prior experience within the hospitality or sports industries would be advantageous
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills combined with a flair for customer interaction
  • Motivation and enthusiasm for the position and the Racecourse
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • A positive, proactive attitude
