About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Governance Director to join our team at NHS. As a key member of our corporate governance function, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our organization operates in accordance with the highest standards of governance and compliance.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Corporate Governance: Provide expert advice and guidance on corporate governance matters, including the development and implementation of governance policies and procedures.
  2. Secretariat Services: Manage the secretariat services for the Board of Directors and its committees, ensuring that all meetings are held in accordance with the Trust's constitution and statutory requirements.
  3. Compliance: Ensure that the Trust's corporate governance function is compliant with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
  4. Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the Executive PA team, providing guidance and support to ensure the effective delivery of secretariat services.
  5. Communication: Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, Governors, and external partners.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in corporate governance and compliance.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of NHS governance and compliance requirements.
