About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Governance Director to join our team at NHS. As a key member of our corporate governance function, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our organization operates in accordance with the highest standards of governance and compliance.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Corporate Governance: Provide expert advice and guidance on corporate governance matters, including the development and implementation of governance policies and procedures.
  2. Secretariat Services: Manage the secretariat services for the Board of Directors and its committees, ensuring that all meetings are properly convened, minutes are accurately recorded, and decisions are implemented.
  3. Compliance: Ensure that the organization is compliant with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including those related to data protection, health and safety, and financial management.
  4. Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of Executive PAs, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure that they are equipped to provide high-quality secretariat services.
  5. Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, Executive Directors, Governors, and external partners.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in corporate governance, compliance, and secretariat services.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of autonomy and flexibility.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
