Podiatry Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Podiatry Assistant to join our team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our podiatry team, you will be responsible for providing clinical support to podiatrists, assisting with ulcer/wound care and surgical clinics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical support to podiatrists, including assistance in ulcer/wound care and surgical clinics.
- Run your own footcare clinics and conduct domiciliary visits, providing nail care under the guidance of a podiatrist.
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of clinics, including preparation of clinic rooms, ensuring smooth operation of multi-disciplinary team clinics, managing stock, and handling clinical administration.
- Perform nail cutting, assist with patient care and education, conduct wound dressings, and liaise with other departments.
- Support audit and research initiatives and utilise the EPIC electronic record system.
The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in healthcare, strong time management and IT skills, and excellent communication and teamwork abilities. We offer comprehensive training aligned with the AHP Support Worker Competency, Education, and Career Development framework, as well as opportunities for career progression to an Assistant Practitioner or Podiatry Apprenticeship in the future.

The salary for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2024-5 rates, inclusive of a pay award implemented from October 2024. The total annual salary is estimated to be around £23,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
