Job Specification

The Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join their Head & Neck administration team as a Speciality Assistant. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Speciality Coordinators and other staff members, ensuring the efficient delivery of the transcription service and all related administrative tasks.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To provide administrative support to the Speciality Coordinators and other staff members.
  • To maintain the efficient delivery of the transcription service and all related administrative tasks.
  • To deputize for the Speciality Coordinator as and when required.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have good administrative skills, excellent communication and customer care experience, and the ability to prioritize and manage your own workload. You will also need to be self-motivated and able to work autonomously. Additionally, experience of working in a busy customer-focused environment, using Excel and databases, and manipulating data would be highly desirable.

Person Specification

  • Good standard of basic education with GCSE English language or comparable relevant work experience.
  • Experience of working in a busy customer-focused environment.
  • Experience of using Excel and databases and manipulating data.
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously.

Skills and Ability

  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated evidence of being self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
