We are seeking a skilled midwife to join our team as a Specialist Midwife for Infectious Diseases and Haemoglobinopathies. This role is an exciting opportunity to work with pregnant individuals who require care and support for complex conditions.

The successful candidate will have experience in all aspects of midwifery care, including counselling, teaching, and developing junior staff. They will also have a strong understanding of current issues in antenatal screening, such as failsafe systems and national standards.

This role offers the opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing genetic counselling and coordinating care for women who are carriers of sickle cell, thalassemia, and other haemoglobinopathies.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, good communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work under pressure. They will also have knowledge of key performance indicators in screening and demonstrate skills in IT systems.
