Job Summary
The Cardio-Respiratory department at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers a comprehensive range of invasive and non-invasive tests, including ECG, Ambulatory monitoring, exercise testing, Pacemaker implant and follow up, diagnostic Angiography, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, and Echocardiography, including Stress and Transoesophageal Echocardiography.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cardiac Physiologist to join our Echocardiography service. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Echocardiography, with experience in scanning independently and working towards BSE accreditation. They will also be responsible for tape analysis and as a 2nd in Stress Echocardiography and TOE lists.
The Echocardiography department performs approximately 10,000 scans per year, and we have an established scientist-led Valve Clinic, Stress Echocardiography service, and Paediatric service.
Main Duties of the Job
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 6 Cardiac Physiologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Cardiac Physiology or equivalent, or be currently studying on a Scientist Training Programme, entering their final year of study.
