About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Cameron Clarke Associates. As an Assistant Buyer - Groundworks & Civils, you will play a crucial role in sourcing and purchasing construction materials for our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Raise material purchase orders in our COINs system
  • Update supplier pricing in COINs system
  • Liaise with site contacts to ensure timely material delivery
  • Check and compete supplier invoices
  • Resolve invoice queries and liaise with the purchase ledger team
Requirements
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to prioritize and manage expectations
  • Excellent communication skills over telephone and email
  • Ability to communicate materials information to multiple departments
  • Knowledge of the COINs procurement system is advantageous, though training will be provided
Desirable Skills
  • Advanced knowledge of construction materials, including concrete road kerbs & slabs, precast concrete drainage, clay drainage, plastic plot drainage, insulation, reinforcing mesh and bar, and general merchant materials
  • Knowledge of bulk aggregates and ready mixed concrete is advantageous
