Job Title: Buyer / Assistant Buyer

We are seeking a highly skilled Buyer / Assistant Buyer to join our team at Cameron Clarke Associates. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing construction materials for our clients.

About the Role:
  • Procure and purchase construction materials in accordance with client requirements
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, and supplier communications
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure seamless delivery of materials to site
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement strategies to optimize material costs and improve supply chain efficiency
Requirements:
  • Advanced knowledge of construction materials, including concrete road kerbs & slabs, precast concrete drainage, clay drainage, and insulation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, project teams, and other stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve procurement-related issues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with procurement systems such as COINs
