About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and supervising students in the classroom, delivering pre-prepared lessons, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Class Supervision: Lead and supervise students while delivering pre-prepared lessons during the class teacher's short-term absence.
  • Adaptability: Be prepared to handle a variety of situations, as each day in education can bring new challenges.
  • Communication: Maintain strong communication with students and staff to ensure a positive learning environment.
Ideal Candidate
  • Experience: Whether you're a seasoned teaching assistant, HLTA, sports coach, or someone aspiring to teach, this role offers invaluable experience in leading a classroom.
  • Passion for Education: If you're passionate about working with children and want to further develop your skills, this is a fantastic stepping stone.
  • Resilient and Adaptable: The ideal candidate will be resilient, adaptable, and ready to take on the diverse challenges that come with working in education.
Qualifications
  • Experience with Children: Prior experience working with children or young adults is preferred.
  • Special Education Knowledge: Familiarity with special education practices and principles is a plus.
  • Adaptability: Ability to tailor teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Essential for effective interaction with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Prior Experience: Experience in mentoring, tutoring, or teaching in the UK is advantageous.
