Simulation Controller Role

Capita is seeking a skilled Simulation Controller to join our team at the Royal Navy's Navigation Training Unit at HMS Collingwood. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Royal Naval instructors to provide a critical contribution to the professional development of RN and foreign naval personnel.

This role involves a 2-week shift pattern, with a focus on managing simulation exercises, controlling the simulator, and providing inputs and responses during training scenarios. You will also be responsible for working with instructors to load simulations onto the systems/simulators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage simulation exercises, including malfunctions, machinery, and man overboard scenarios.
  • Control the simulator and provide inputs and responses during training scenarios.
  • Work with instructors to load simulations onto the systems/simulators.
Requirements:
  • Hold a STCW II/1 qualification or an RN equivalent (bridge watchkeeping Cert.).
