Contract Controller

As a Simulation Controller, you will play a crucial role in supporting training in the Royal Navy's Navigation Training Unit at HMS Collingwood. This team works closely with Royal Naval (RN) instructors to provide a key contribution to the professional development of RN and foreign naval personnel through career and other courses, in preparation for operational duties in the Fleet.
This role involves a 2-week shift pattern, with a mix of morning and afternoon shifts. You will be responsible for working with instructors to load simulations onto the systems/simulators, controlling the simulator, and providing appropriate inputs and responses during a training scenario.
Key Responsibilities- Managing simulation exercises, including malfunctions, machinery, and man overboard scenarios.
- Working with instructors to ensure a smooth and effective training experience.
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting to resolve any issues that may arise during a training scenario.
- A STCW II/1 qualification or an RN equivalent (bridge watchkeeping Cert.) is required for this role.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this position.
