About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Facilitator to join our team at Princess Anne Hospital in Southampton. The successful candidate will support new staff and students within our neonatal intensive care unit, guiding them through their initial foundation training and providing clinical support as they adapt to their new role.

Job Description

The Clinical Facilitator will be responsible for planning and facilitating teaching sessions alongside the Lead Educator on our 'welcome week' induction programme. This will involve supporting the induction of new staff within clinical practice and guiding them through the initial stages of the Tier 1 QIS Foundation programme. Additionally, the Clinical Facilitator will provide a rolling education programme / refresher skills training to existing staff primarily working within Woodland Ward.

Main Duties

Planning and facilitating teaching sessions for new staff and studentsSupporting the induction of new staff within clinical practiceProviding a rolling education programme / refresher skills training to existing staffManaging student placements in conjunction with local universities and the wider education team(s) within the TrustMentoring / coaching / education qualification to postgraduate diploma level or equivalent evidence of supporting learners in practice

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree education or equivalent experience in a relevant field
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Significant experience within a relevant field
  • Neonatal Qualified in Specialty Qualification
  • Neonatal Life Support Qualification
  • Experience of educating others in a formal or informal setting
  • Broad awareness of Trust initiatives/pressures

Salary
