We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to join our team as a Research Facilitator. This is an exceptional opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in clinical research, project management, and customer-focused service delivery.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with divisional research teams, investigators, and senior managers to deliver the UHS R&D strategy. Your responsibilities will include acting as a specialist for researchers setting up studies, maintaining comprehensive knowledge of resources to support study development, and deputising for the Divisional Research Manager.

We offer a competitive salary of £38,000 - £43,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including 35 days paid holiday (pro rata) and a generous pension scheme.

Job Summary:

This role involves supporting the set-up and delivery of clinical research studies across the trust. You will work closely with researchers, investigators, and senior managers to ensure the timely and effective delivery of research projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Acting as a specialist for researchers setting up studies in the trust
  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of resources to support study development
  • Supporting with the regular collection of data and reporting on performance metrics
  • Deputising for the Divisional Research Manager
Requirements:
  • Clinical/scientific degree or equivalent demonstrable experience relevant to the role
  • Significant experience of using systems and processes which support the delivery of high-quality clinical care in a clinical research environment
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of research governance and quality assurance systems to ensure safe systems for patients
  • An understanding of current R&D issues in the NHS
