We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scientific Skills Development Manager to join our team at Laboratory Corporation. As a key member of our Early Development service line, you will be responsible for developing and implementing science and technical skills training programs to address the needs of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement science and technical skills training programs to address the needs of our business.
- Collaborate with leaders, functional SMEs, and outside providers to design and deliver training programs.
- Conduct gap analyses to identify areas where our current scientific and technical knowledge falls short of our future needs.
- Design and implement educational programs and strategies to create pipelines of individuals with scientific and technical knowledge skills.
- Partner with Global Government Affairs, industry associations, and government agencies to ensure Laboratory Corporation is at the forefront of science and technical skills development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in life sciences, human resources management, or a relevant learning and development qualification.
- Demonstrable experience in relevant skill-based training roles.
- Proven track record in relationship building and transparency across all internal and external stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of the UK science and technical skills development arena, education, and funding systems.
- Good understanding of UK data privacy laws and intellectual property rights.
- Proven track record in design, delivery, and evaluation of development initiatives.
- High-level facilitation and coaching skills.
- Expert organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to assess the impact of training and the extent to which it is transferred to the work environment.
- Ability to network, build relationships, and work with a variety of stakeholders, including senior leaders.
