Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Health Specialist to join our team in Dunoon, covering various sites on an initial 4-month contract.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering the full range of statutory environmental health work, including public health, environmental protection, licensing, and planning consultations, health and safety, and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • To respond to environmental health service requests in areas such as public health, environmental protection, licensing, and planning consultations, health and safety, and food safety.
  • To deliver high-quality services to clients, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and legislation.
  • To maintain accurate records and reports, providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working with a local authority or carrying out work on an agency basis in a similar role in a local authority.
  • Qualification as an EHO, with consideration given to candidates who are not authorised in food safety but meet the other criteria.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive a competitive benefits package, including a generous holiday allowance and opportunities for professional development.
